The performance analysis model does not take into account the DIF model recommendations. The DIF model proposes a plan should all conditions be met. The Performance Analysis confirms or refutes the plan. So in theory, the DIF model may indicate that training is not needed while the performance analysis model may indicate that it is.
When a plausible solution is blue (Evaluate Tab > Job Analysis > Performance Analysis > Plausible Solutions), this means it is linked to a Solution. If the Solution is a training intervention (i.e. Knowledge/Skills Training) the link is established under the Design Tab. If the Solution is a non-training intervention (i.e. New Tools, New Policies/Procedures, etc.) the link is established under Solution Tab.
To form this link do the following:
A. For Training Intervention
• Go to Design Tab > Add Course > Input fields (Note to link to plausible solution under Evaluate Tab, Client field must be the same) > Click Save
• Next Click the Target Audience Folder > Select the Job (from Evaluate Tab) and Click Save > Click Link Training to Knowledge/Skill Gap > Select the Knowledge/Skills Training (under the Performance Analysis Heading) > Click Save
• Now the Plausible Training Solution will appear as blue.
B. For Non Training Intervention:
• Go to Solutions Tab > Add Solution > Input fields (Note to link to a plausible solution under Evaluate Tab: a) Client field must be the same and b) Solution Type field must match the plausible solution) > Click Save
• Next Click the Target Audience Folder > Select the Job (from Evaluate Tab) and Click Save
• Now the Plausible Non-Training Solution will appear as blue.
• Training Interventions are not called up through the Solutions Tab. They are called up through the Design Tab.
To form this link do the following:
Training Intervention
• Go to Design Tab > Add Course > Input fields (Note to link to plausible solution under Evaluate Tab, Client field must be the same) > Click Save

• Yes only Non-Training Interventions are called forward to the Solutions Tab. Training Interventions are called forward through the Design Tab.
• To view how ADVISOR maps to DSAT with regards to this process see Resources DSAT Requirement Overview Page 3. Note Evaluation and Validation column, if training is not adequate a root cause analysis is performed (step 16). If Training is the necessary intervention Step 17 moves to Step 6 (Step 6 through Step 8 occur through the Design Tab in ADVISOR), and if a non-training intervention is required this Step 17 moves to Step 18 (Step 18 through 21 occur in the Solution Tab within ADVISOR).
